The new E.P. of Ghosting deals with two 16th century German traditional songs. It's a excursion into dark techno and features a remix by Sebastian Vogelsang.

Thanks to Sebastian Vogelsang, Ghosting takes an excursion into dark techno territory on the digital only E.P. "Der Tod Reit't".

The song "Der Tod Reit't" (aka "Flanders in Not") goes back to a "Rhinish Song of the Dead" or "Nonnentanzlied" (The Nun's Dance Song) dating back to the 15th century. Sascha Tayefeh released his own interpretation of the song already in 2020 with the typical Ghosting style, mixing classical and electronic elements, under Ghosting. Now Sebastian Vogelsang has remixed this song into a new, driving and noisy dark techno version. It is available in two different lengths, but in otherwise identical versions: As a single edit (2.5 minutes) and as an extended version (7.5 minutes).

Appropriate to the overall topic, Sascha Tayefeh has set another of the oldest known "Landsknecht" songs to music: "Wir zogen in das Feld" ("We went into the field"), traditional of 1509 from the Italian campaigns of Kaiser Karl V. Sascha has interpreted this song in two different versions: The "Full-On Version", which likewise goes in the direction of "Dark Techno", as well as a "Melodic Version", which makes an attempt to incorporate the typical ghostingish-bombastic elements while keeping to the techno line of the E.P.

Ghosting's next E.P. is already in the making and is scheduled for release sometime in the first half of 2023. It will again be in the spirit of Ghosting's traditional style and is expected to be a more ballad-heavy creation.
